The worst customer service I've ever experienced - I keep getting this message that there's some suspicious activity on my account whenever I try to use the service, and I can't even log into my account due to it being frozen, with no information on how to fix it. I have called, as suggested, multiple times over many months and have only received the same response every time that the issue needs to be escalated to verify my identity.

Then I never hear back in any capacity whatsoever. They don't offer any other means that I've been able to find for assistance either.

They say to log into your account for better service, but I can't even do that. What am I expected to do here?

Payments

Too many payments are coming out. It was supposed to be three payments.

I wouldnt mind using a firm again, but if this does not go smoothly like I was anticipating, then I will not use it again. I have upcoming plans that I would like to use this but now Im having second thoughts please help to resolve this problem.

Problem with account

Their customer service is the worst. They have no power to do anything really except give you the runaround and it's very hard to understand what they're saying because they speak so fast and obviously not very good English in a lot of cases.

You'd think a company that does most business in the United States would have United States based customer service but no they do not. And there's absolutely no way to contact anyone in the United States from this company.

So they absolutely do nothing to help you and I have a legitimate case no one seems to care and no one seems to understand. But I'm going to get the Attorney General's office involved because I think it's probably some sort of a crime to take somebody's money for nothing

Well, first off, I'm having a problem. I ordered something from an online company and was given permission to return the item.

The item was unopened and unused, but for some reason, they determined that the item was unreturnable. So, they kept my item and destroyed it. They did not give me credit, a refund, or a replacement. I owe the payments to Affirm; I've made three payments so far and owe three more.

So, I filed a dispute, and Affirm ruled in favor of the merchant. So, I filed it again, and the merchant provided me proof that they were charged back for the purchase by Affirm. Affirm got their money back. I supplied the proof of the charge back to the merchant, however, I'm still making payments on something I don't have.

Trying to contact them is a joke because their customer service representatives are either in Costa Rica or Tel Aviv, and they don't seem to understand the issue. Trying to get ahold of anyone in the United States from this company is impossible.

So, essentially, I'm paying for something that I don't have, and the merchant was charged back the full price. So, now I'm paying Affirm for absolutely no reason.

Purchase cancelled buying power

The agents were very helpful and patient he said no problem. He was gonna give us a good deal right I dont know so it all started early in the morning.

I went into a website to book some hotels and try to use Affirm but then they accidentally charged my Apple Pay and then my buying power on a firm decrease because of that incident and then I went back-and-forth calling the Affirm and the other website where I was trying to book a hotel, and our friend was very helpful.

Every time I called if it took about three phone calls, but all the agents were very nice. Very helpful.

Can not get ahold of anyone other than the ones saying they will look at it . One of my loans are paid off due to system glitching when I pay payment it asks for more no only on one account but others

Loan dispute

Im not unhappy with the customer service rep. She was fine.

Its the company policies! Im supposed to jump through all these hoops to dispute a loan that was made for merchandise I never received!

Im pretty sure that is theft! Charging me for no merchandise or services!

It Affirm takes one more ACH payment out of my checking account I will be suing!!!

Refund issue

Affirm - Refund issue

I recently sent back a purchase to Amazon and they said they refunded my money to the payment method, which was my debit card. I have not received that refund and when I contacted them, they said they do not see anything online regarding it.

This was a purchase that I used affirm to pay for. I currently have one more payment to affirm. How will I receive my refund? Will I need to make that last payment first?

Is affirm the group who will refund my money. Amazon has stated it is already refunded to my debit card

User's recommendation: NEVER use AFFIRM! If you run into a situation like mine, you will first of all not be able to understand anything they say to you on the phone and I think that is on purpose. Secondly, they will tell you if you finish making your payments that they will refund the money that is owed you for your partial order refund Which is also not true.

Affirm registration not authorized

Not helpfull with no resolution of the Affirm registration that was unauthorized. Fraud is suspected.

Contacting Affirm directly would have been a more efficient option.

I thought I was still on the Affirm website when I was trying to respond to Affirm directly. Instead, I was redirected to PissedConsumer

Unsafe, unintelligent account design

IF ACCOUNT SECURITY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, DO NOT USE AFFIRM

Affirm identifies you by phone number only. If your phone number has been used previously, you cannot make an account, period.

It instead invites you to take over the previous owner's account. If this sounds dodgy, don't worry, you can provide your own legal information and successfully hijack the old owner's account without any deception. Here, you can see their personal information and still not be able to make your own account! Support claimed to have helped me, but it did not work.

This is such a security risk that at this point I have no desire to make an Affirm account.

For anyone reading, please understand: I am not a bad actor.

I provided my own legal name and SSN. It then asked for my ID and a selfie. I provided all of this and Affirm said, "Awesome! Welcome into someone else's account!"

Whatever verification system Affirm uses considers the phone number to be the only identifier.

It did not distinguish that I am not the same person even when requesting highly identifying information. It is also not designed in a way that acknowledges PHONE NUMBERS CHANGE OWNERS.

Absolutely useless.
